AZERBAIJAN-JAPAN ECONOMIC TIES DEEPENING

On September 27, first deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Arthur Rasizadeh met with delegation of the Japan Foreign Trade Organization led by its president Hirosi Tsukamoto.
According to the Cabinet of Minister’s press-center, Arthur Rasizadeh stressed significance of Azerbaijani-Japanese relations and pointed out the visits of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev to Japan, which opened the new page in the bilateral relations. He emphasized the fruitful activities of embassy of Japan to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan-Japan joint economic commission engaged in large economic project.
Deputy Premier thanked Japanese Government for lax credits and grants aimed at developing the health, culture, agriculture, sports etc, which prompted economic revival. Later on, he highly appreciated the memorandum on fabrication of engineering equipment as efforts of Japan Foreign Trade Organization directed to developing non-oil sector.
Having thanked for hospitality Hirosi Tsukamoto stressed the significance of bilateral relations and this visit as a tool to further develop relations. Then, he updated upon meetings in “Azerneftkimyamash” PC, Engineering Plant after Sattarkhan and Baku Plant of oil equipment.
The guest said the memorandum envisages installation of equipment, production know-hows, trainings and bringing the enterprises of the “Azerneftkimyamash” up to the world standards.
Then, the sides exchanged views on certain issues.
The meeting was attended by deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov and Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fujivara Toshiyuki.
