Azerbaijan, Germany sign MoU on cooperation
Baku, March 1 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and Germany have inked a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to train personnel in business management.
The memorandum was clinched by Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Niyazi Safarov and Deputy Director General of European Policies Department of German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology Andreas Obersteller.
The conference on Expansion of economic cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Germany was held at the Ministry of Economic Development.
The event was attended by representatives of Economic Development Ministry, German Ministry of Economy and Technologies, German International Cooperation Agency, as well as entrepreneurs and managers, who taught at training courses in Germany in 2009-2012.
Administration head at the Economic Development Ministry Samir Valiyev touched upon the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany in different fields, including economic sphere. He said that in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the both ministries, since 2009, jointly with German International Cooperation Agency, the Baku Business Education Center has been realizing Germany-Azerbaijan bilateral program on training of personnel in business management in Azerbaijan.
Valiyev noted that continuation of the program is significant for Azerbaijani youth to have international experience in management sphere, extend cooperation among the businessmen.
Andreas Obersteller noted that 138 Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and young managers attended the training courses in Germany during past 3 years: “We were satisfied with this work and decided to prolong the term of the program”.
