Azerbaijani PM meets with President of International Astronautical Federation

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with a delegation led by President of the International Astronautical Federation Pascale Ehrenfreund.

The meeting discussed Azerbaijan`s achievements gained in the development of high technologies and space industry.

Emphasizing the historical importance of Baku's hosting the International Astronautics Congress in 2023, the sides described this as a clear evidence of the international space community’s recognizing the achievements of Azerbaijan in this area.

Azerbaijan’s rich experience in hosting major international events and its modern infrastructure was hailed. It was noted that all these factors create favorable conditions for holding the Congress at the highest level. During the meeting, Prime Minister Ali Asadov expressed Azerbaijan's readiness to provide the necessary support in this regard.

It was emphasized that Azerbaijan is one of the few members of the international space club and the country is interested in expanding cooperation with the International Astronautical Federation.

The sides also exchanged views on the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, stressing the important role of satellites in this process.
