BELARUS PUTS CASHLESS RUSSIAN RUBLE INTO CIRCULATION

Cashless Russian ruble is in circulation in the territory of Belarus since July 1, announced Chairman of the Belarusian National Bank’s Board of Directors Vladimir Senko. ‘Henceforth, Belarusian enterprises and companies are be able to freely exchange goods and services and even pay taxes in this currency’, Mr. Senko said. The Belarusian National Bank is sure that payment systems of both countries are ready to turn to identical instrument of payment without application of any additional technical innovations. Its leadership, however, considers it possible to allocate 50 million American dollars to maintain the exchange-value of the Belarusian rouble.
