CIS RAILWAY COUNCIL TO MEET

A delegation of the State Railway Board of Azerbaijan is to take part in the 36th session of the CIS and Baltic countries Council of Railway Boards to be held on September 30 in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.

The results of exploitation works at railways of member-states for 8 months of the year, preliminary results of inventory of freight cars and containers by May 21, 2003, movement of trains schedule in 2004-2005, providing with increase of good volumes transported by trains, fulfillment of intergovernmental agreement on mutual usage of freight cars and containers, a complex program on the system of automatic identification of trains and high tonnage containers at railways, introduction of amendments and changes into the agreement on tariffs of international passenger transportation, prevention of possible accidents of dangerous cargo at railway transport as well as determination of the place and date of the next , 37th session of the council are to be discussed.
