CIS heads of customs administrations convene in Bishkek

The Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek has hosted the 69th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the 31st meeting of the Joint Board of the Eurasian Customs Union member states.

The meetings considered the issues of law enforcement practice of application of the Protocol on Non-Tariff Regulation Measures by the customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states, the unified system of transit of goods, electronic declaration, movement of goods, classification of certain types of goods in accordance with the unified Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the EEU, the definition and minimization of risks.

Information interaction among customs services of the EEU member states was also high on the agenda.

The Council approved the documents aimed at changing the provisions of the Agreement on the procedure of customs clearance and customs control of goods moved between the EAEU member states.

Representatives of the customs services of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee attended the event.
