DOUBLE COMPENSATIONS TO BE PAID TO SUFFERERS

The social problems of the citizens who have lost their houses because of the 5-storey apartment house collapse in Lankaran will be solved in a month. Funds to recover tenants’ damages have already been assigned, Chairman of the Milli Majlis permanent commission for social policy Khadi Rajabli told AzerTAj correspondent. The payment of compensations is supervised by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Compensations to be paid to tenants whose property is under ruins are different from those to be paid to citizens who have lost merely their houses. The amount of compensation 2-fold exceeds the average cost of apartments in Lankaran. The assigned funds will be enough for tenants to buy the apartment in Lankaran in accordance with the number of rooms in their old apartments. Besides, transport costs to carry their household stuff and a month room rent expenses will be reimbursed.
