ENERGY ENGINEERS GEAR UP FOR WINTERTIME

Within the program on preparation for the winter season 2003/2004, brigades of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja and Alibaramli electric networks in association with “Azerenergykhususitamirsazlama” are reconstructing high-voltage Power Transmission Lines and substations of Azerbaijan

This summer energy workers have inspected all substations and PTL of Azerbaijan in accordance with the inspection schedule that is to be implemented by “Azerenergy”. As a result of inspections, an overall report has been included into the plan of reconstruction activities.

Thus, at a 110-km substation “Buta” new 40 Mba transformer was reconstructed and put into operation. In the course of the last inspection, the detected trouble in one of three transformers was cleared up. The substation is designed to supply Garadagh district with electric energy.

Large volume of work was implemented in the high-voltage PTLs, where they were rehabilitated.

This part of work was done during summer months. Energy workers expressed hope that they would manage to ensure trouble-free supply of energy.
