First gas production as part of Shahdeniz-2 `planned` for 2017

Baku, July 17 (AZERTAC).President of Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev has said a first production of gas as part of the second stage of Shahdeniz is scheduled for 2017.
The SOCAR President made a speech at “Caspian Energy Dialogue” international conference in Baku.
“The second stage of the field is now underway. This stage envisages the launch of 30 wells, establishment of infrastructure and communications. Under this stage we will increase the minimum yearly production to 16 billion cubic meters.”
