INT’L JUDO TOURNAMENT ENDED

The 27th traditional international judo tournament organized in memory of the twice Hero of Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov by the national Olympic Committee, ministry of youth, sports and tourism, Judo Federation and Baku Mayor. The event was attended 170 sportsmen from 6 countries.

The Azerbaijani sportsman I. Mammadov (60 kg), S. Agayev (66 kg), S. Sarkarov (73 kg), E. Rajabli (81 kg), Z. Tagiyev (100 kg) and Abbasov (over 100 kg) and Georgian sportsman M. Bodaveli (90 kg) were the winners among the men contests.

Among the women, Azerbaijani R. Agajanova (48 kg), S. Ahmadova (63 kg), F. Shukurova (78 kg), T. Mammadova (over 78 kg), the Russian sportswoman K. Magometova (52 kg) and Z. Abuhasanova (70 kg) won the tournaments.

In general, Azerbaijani team took the first place, Russians and Georgians were the second and third, relatively.
