MEMO ON ‘IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHERS’ (INSETT) PROJECT SIGNED

A ceremony of signing of the Memorandum on ‘Improvement of Teachers’ (INSETT) Project between the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and British Council of Great Britain was held at the Ministry on 24 September.

In his opening remarks, minister Misir Mardanov spoke of the impulse given to bilateral relations between the two countries after the visit of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev to Great Britain.

Noting particular interest in the Republic to study English language, the Minister said that improvement of teachers and teaching of English at schools and Institutes within the Project would be paid further attention. The Project envisages a 2-year pilot intensive program, he added.

Ambassador of Great Britain to Azerbaijan Andrew Taker and director of British Council Margaret Jack expressed their confidence for successful implementation of the Project.

The Memo was signed by minister of education Misir Mardanov and director of British Council Margaret Jack.
