    NEW NATO SECRETARY GENERAL APPOINTED

    Due to the official information received from Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands Jaap de Hoop Scheffer was appointed to the post of NATO Secretary General. On September 22, Members of NATO Council made a unanimous decision about this. New Secretary General will take up his duties in 2004.
