PRIME-MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV MET WITH SPOUSE OF RUSSIAN PRESIDENT LYUDMILA PUTINA

Prime-Minister of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in the State Palace “Ulduz” with spouse of the Russian President Lyudmila Putina, September 20.
Welcoming the guest, the Head of the Government has described the visit by Mrs. Putina to Azerbaijan as one more evidence of the development of the relations between the two countries and expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to visit the country.
He told of his meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin during the Summit of the CIS Heads of State recently ended in Yalta, and of results of the negotiations related to the prospects of Russia-Azerbaijan relationship development.
Lyudmila Putina has shared her impressions after visiting Baku Slavonic University, expressed satisfaction with the level of teaching and development of Russian language and culture in Azerbaijan, and stressed this sphere is very close to her as she had been the initiator of founding in Russia of the Center for Russian Language Development.
She thanked the leadership of Azerbaijan for hospitality and care shown her and other Russian guests.
Mrs. Putina has highly appreciated the today’s look of the Azerbaijan’s capital.
The meeting was attended by spouse of Prime-Minister of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Russia to Azerbaijan Nikolay Ryabov.
