President Ilham Aliyev receives credentials of incoming Sudanese ambassador VİDEO
Baku, September 12 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials of new ambassador of Sudan Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
The Azerbaijani President had a conversation with the diplomat.
The Head of State expressed confidence that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Sudan would develop successfully.
President Ilham Aliyev hailed political ties between the two countries.
The President said there were good opportunities for development of the Azerbaijan-Sudan cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, agriculture, and education.
The Head of State noted that the two countries were actively cooperating within international organizations, including the UN, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, stressing the importance of boosting this cooperation even further.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the ambassador would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties.
The ambassador conveyed greetings of Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmad Al-Bashir to the Head of State.
Mohammad Elias Mohammad al-Haq said Sudan attached great importance to expansion of relations with Azerbaijan.
The ambassador expressed confidence that he would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the Azerbaijani-Sudanese relationship during his tenure.
The Azerbaijani leader asked the diplomat to pass on his greetings to the Sudanese President.
