SEVENTH MEETING OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION BETWEEN GOVERNMENTS OF MOSCOW AND AZERBAIJAN HELD IN MOSCOW
Moscow, 12 March (AZERTAC). The 7th meeting of intergovernmental commission on implementation of the agreement on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural spheres between the Government of Moscow and the Government of Azerbaijan was held in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani and Russian delegations headed by Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Moscow`s First Deputy Mayor Lyudmila Shvetsova respectively.
The meeting discussed implementation of the protocol of the Commission`s 6th meeting on implementation of intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific-technical and cultural spheres, as well as trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Moscow and Azerbaijan.
The sides praised the outcomes of the Commission`s 6th meeting, as well as the level of mutual activity in the framework of trade and economic cooperation.
It was noted during the meeting that commodity turnover between Moscow and Azerbaijan made up $157, 1 million from January through September 2008.
A protocol on the outcomes of the intergovernmental commission was signed during the event.
The sides also agreed to hold the Commission`s next meeting in Baku.
