SPEAKER OF AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT RETURNED FROM MOSCOW
On 30 December, speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament returned home. The goal of the visit was to observe the process of elections of the Chairman of Duma and his deputies at the first session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the fourth convocation, Murtuz Alaskarov said at the Bina airport. “In the frame of the visit, I met the former Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Gennadiy Seleznyov and the newly elected Chairman Boris Grizlov. Stressed was the necessity of development of the Azerbaijani-Russian, as well as parliamentary links, focused resolution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict and activation of the efforts of Russia in this direction.
At the airport, Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament was welcomed by deputy speaker Arif Rahimzadeh, deputy speaker Ziyafet Askerov, head of the Parliament Administration Safa Mirzoyev.
