Winners of "Scientists of Tomorrow" II Republic competition awarded
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). An awards ceremony of "Scientists of Tomorrow" II Republic competition today has taken place at the Kempinski Hotel Badamdar, Baku.
Students of 9th and 10th classes of Baku and Sumgayit schools took part at the competition, organized by the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports, and “Madad-Azerbaijan” Public Union.
Winners of the contest were awarded with diplomas, medals and money. Some 5 students of the winners will be sent to the International Science and Engineering Fair - Intel ISEF, to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States.
Addressing the event, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov stressed the importance of the competition. He said the competition’s goal was to create opportunity for school students to demonstrate their academic achievements.
Mardanov also thanked manager of Intel ISEF on CIS countries Tatyana Nanayeva for her organization`s contribution.
The minister congratulated winners and wished them every success.
