Acting Chairman of Pakistani Senate: Relations with Azerbaijan develop on all fronts

Acting Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Sabir Ali Baloch has praised his country`s relationship with Azerbaijan as he met its Ambassador in Islamabad Dashgin Shikarov. “Friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are developing in all spheres.” He said: “The passage of two resolutions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by the Pakistani Senate is a vivid example of the strengthening bilateral ties.”
Mr Ali Baloch expressed his gratitude to president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for the projects carried out in education, health and humanitarian spheres in all Pakistani provinces. “The people of Pakistan praise this noble mission,” he added.
Mr Shikarov hailed relations between the two countries as friendly. He praised Pakistan’s supporting Azerbaijan “on all issues, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”.
The Ambassador highlighted reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, and forthcoming high-profile international events to be hosted by the country.
The meeting was attended by Pakistani senators, members of the National Assembly, representatives of embassies of several countries in Islamabad, and political figures.
