Annual meeting of OSCE Ministerial Council held in Vienna

The 24th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting is underway in Vienna.
The two-day event organized upon the initiative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration Sebastian Kurz brings together the foreign ministers of the 57 OSCE participating States.
Azerbaijan is represented at the meeting by a delegation led by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
In his opening remarks, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Sebastian Kurz highlighted the organization’s activities over the past year, particularly its efforts to address the conflicts and crises in the OSCE region.
He stressed the necessity of fighting against radicalization and extremism and urged the participating States to collaborate closer to enhance security in the OSCE region.
The participants will exchange views over the issues standing on the current agenda and discuss the future activities of the organization.
The meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council will end on December 8.
