Azerbaijan and Serbia strengthen digitalization of consular services

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Serbia held the third round of consular consultations in Belgrade.
Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department, led the Azerbaijani delegation, while Nataša Rašević, Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, headed the Serbian side.
During the consultations, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects of consular cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan, including the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements in this field.
They also exchanged views on recent developments in consular affairs, particularly the experience and mechanisms applied by both countries in the digitalization of consular services.
The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of migration, justice, education, labor, and social protection.
The meeting also included an exchange of views and experience on ensuring effective consular protection of citizens in crisis situations, as well as on the regulation of labor migration.
