AZERBAIJAN AT 118TH SPOT IN FIFA RANKING
FIFA has issued its new ranking of world national football teams on August 4, AzerTAj reported. Argentina went 7 places up to 3rd spot due to its excellent performance at the Copa America 2004.
The best teams are still Brazil, France and Spain. Uruguay made a significant progress and climbed 13 places to 19th spot.
Russia dropped one place to 27th spot near such a giant team as Saudi Arabia.
Uzbekistan climbed to 29, therefore, second after Russia among Post-soviet countries, as it could have reached the quarterfinal of the Asia Cup.
The ranking list of first 10 teams includes: Brazil, France, Spain, Argentine, Czech Republic, Netherlands, England, Mexico, Italy, and Turkey.
