Azerbaijan attends second Islamic conference of Youth and Sports Ministers in Jeddah
Baku, March 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov has joined the Second Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) held in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Second Islamic conference of Youth and Sports Ministers, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Conference examined the report by the ISSF President on the Federations activities between the first and second sessions; the Broad Lines of the Draft Strategy for Promoting Youth Issues in the Islamic World; the Draft Executive Plan for the Initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Dialogue among the Followers of Religions and Cultures: Achievements and Future Prospects; the Draft Document on the Muslim Youth, Human Rights and Citizenship; the Project for Protecting the Islamic Countries.
Member States will also present reports on their efforts to promote youth issues in the Islamic world.
In addition, the Conference will set up the Consultative Council in Charge of Implementing the Strategy for Promoting Youth Issues in the Islamic World.
At the close of its proceedings, the Conference will adopt the Jeddah Declaration on Promoting Youth Issues in the Islamic World.
The Conference will see participation of the youth and sports ministers of the OIC Member States.
