Azerbaijan, Türkiye stress importance of legal cooperation

On April 7, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, met with Muhsin Şentürk, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Türkiye.
During the meeting, the officials noted that the friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations are steadily developing under the motto of National Leader Heydar Aliyev: “One nation, two states.” They particularly highlighted the brotherly relations between the two countries’ leaders in fostering bilateral ties.
The meeting focused on cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries, praising the existing fruitful interparliamentary cooperation, including the activities of the interparliamentary working groups. They also stressed the importance of mutual interaction within various interparliamentary platforms, adding that such platforms contribute to regional peace, stability, and cooperation.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova emphasized the significance of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked between the Prosecutor General Offices of the two countries in 2021, while also praising the activity of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Organization of Turkic States.
Muhsin Şentürk noted that bilateral relations are developing in line with the cooperation agenda defined by the two countries’ leaders, covering all areas. The meeting also addressed the fruitful collaboration between the Prosecutor General Offices of both countries.
