Azerbaijani and Georgian MPs meet in Baku

On February 24, members of the Milli Majlis working group on inter-parliamentary relations with Georgia met with a delegation from the Parliament of Georgia. The Georgian delegation is visiting our country to participate in the tenth trilateral meeting of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia.
Arzu Naghiyev, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee and head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations with Georgia, stated that friendship groups active in the legislative bodies play a vital role in the development of bilateral relations. He noted that discussions between deputies, mutual visits, and joint events contribute to the growth of cooperation. The development of parliamentary diplomacy serves to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and contributes to stability in the South Caucasus as a whole.
Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and head of the delegation, emphasized the high level of political relations between our states. He noted that cooperation between the two countries continues successfully in the implementation of global projects.
During the meeting, members of the Azerbaijan-Georgia working group on inter-parliamentary relations, committee chairs Musa Guliyev and Azer Amiraslanov, deputy Gulshan Pashayeva, as well as Irakli Kadagishvili, head of the Georgian Parliament's working group with Azerbaijan, and Irakli Shatakishvili, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament, delivered speeches. They spoke about the significance of the developing ties between the two countries, high-level diplomatic relations, and the prospects for the development of strategic relations.
