Azerbaijani President confers honorary titles and ranks upon Defense Ministry servicemen

President Ilham Aliyev has signed Orders awarding a group of servicemen of the Ministry of Defense in connection with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Under the Presidential Orders, Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, first deputy Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Najmaddin Sadikov and Commander of the Combined Forces Army of Nakhchivan, Lieutenant General Karam Mustafayev received “Bravery” Order of the 1st degree.
Six servicemen were awarded “For Service to Motherland” and 15 servicemen (1 posthumously) received “For Motherland” medal.
Also under the Orders, 28 servicemen were awarded “For Bravery” and 29 others “For Military Services” medals.
One person received Lieutenant General and seven others got Major General military ranks.
