Azerbaijan`s foreign ministry “deeply concerned and shocked” by Turkish events

Azerbaijan`s foreign ministry has released a statement expressing “deep concern and shock” over a military coup attempt in Turkey.
“We have been deeply concerned and shocked by the developments in brotherly Turkey. This is an attempt by a group within the military targeting the government, which was democratically elected by the brotherly people of Turkey. And the people and government of Turkey showed unity to stand against this attempt.”
“We reiterate that we stand by the people and government of Turkey, and express our hope that the situation will soon stabilize and normalize,” the ministry said.
