Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry: Statements of President of Swiss National Council made in Yerevan can be regarded as support for racism

Baku, February 7, AZERTAC
“The statements of President of the Swiss National Council Dominique de Buman made in Yerevan can be regarded as support for segregation and racism when translated into the internationally recognized language,” said spokesperson of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev as he commented on the statements voiced by Dominique de Buman during his visit to Yerevan.
He said: “President of the Swiss National Council Dominique de Buman, abusing his official authority, made biased statements during his visit to Yerevan, which contradict Switzerland’s policy of neutrality and undermine the negotiations on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
He recalled that in 2012 Dominique de Buman, the president of Swiss National Council, violated the laws, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan by paying an illegal visit to the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenian armed forces.
