Azerfon appoints new CEO

Baku, November 11 (AZERTAC). Company Azerfon, Azerbaijani mobile operator, has announced the appointment of a new CEO. So, the company`s new CEO will be Jurgen Peetz, who has broad experience in telecommunications sphere. Previously, Mr. Peetz headed the third mobile operator in Austria - Orange Austria, and worked as vice president of German Nokia Networks.

Commenting on his new appointment Azerfon CEO underlined the high rates of development of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan. “I am very happy for joining Azerfon as CEO, and by presenting most qualitative and new products in the market I will do my best to further expand the growth of the company. Providing useful mobile services and products throughout the country we will work as a team in accordance with the strategy that meets the customers` needs and demands,” said Mr. Peetz.

“Mr. Peetz is a professional in the telecommunications sector and his appointment as CEO to the company will help Azerfon to take a leading position in mobile communications market,” said Cuneyt Turktan, Board Chairman of Azerfon who commented on the new appointment.
