Azeri schoolboy wins bronze medal in International Olympiad on Informatics in Thailand
Baku, July 29 (AZERTAC). Azeri pupil Azad Salahli has secured a bronze medal in the 23rd International Olympiad in Informatics in Pattaya, Thailand.
According to the Institute of Information Technologies (IIT) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Olympic Center under Education-Innovation Center of the IIT has a great role in the success gained.
Preparatory lessons for the Olympiad were held with organization and scientific-methodical support by the IIT of the ANAS and financial support by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.
The lessons were held by leading teachers of the IIT, Baku State University (BSU) and other higher schools.
Lectures and practical lessons featured Combinatorica, Probability Theory, Graph theory and other areas of Mathematics.
