Baku hosts 21st meeting of CIS Coordination Council for Government Communications
Baku, November 2 (AZERTAC). Baku on Thursday has hosted the 21st meeting of the CIS Coordination Council for Government Communications.
According to the Ministry of National Security, the delegations of encryption services and closed communications intelligence agencies of the CIS member states attended the meeting.
Opening the meeting, Azerbaijani Minister of National Security Eldar Mahmudov stressed the importance of the meeting in strengthening the cooperation in government communications.
The Minister expressed confidence the CIS Coordination Council on Government Communications would contribute to ensuring safe operation of encryption and government communications systems, as well as improve cooperation on this front.
The participants discussed the application of scientific and technological advances in encryption and government communication systems, training of professional staff, and ways to increase and strengthen cooperation, and exchange of information.
The meeting culminated with the signing of a final protocol. The participants also approved an action plan for next year, and agreed the list of Coordination Council`s activities for 2013.
The next meeting of the CIS Coordination Council for Government Communications will be held in Uzbekistan in 2013.
