Beijing hosts conference on Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor

An international conference on the role of the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor in implementing the “Belt and Road Initiative” has been held in Beijing, China.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China and the Ministry of Commerce of China, the conference was aimed at promoting the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor.
Speakers at the event included Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Turkish Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yuksel Coskunyurek, Kazakh Deputy Minister for Investment and Development Roman Sklyar, Georgian Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Cherkezishvili.
A documentary on the Trans-Caspian International East-West Trade and Transit Corridor was screened.
The conference then continued with panel meetings.
