BELARUS, KAZAKHSTAN, RUSSIA AND UKRAINE ESTABLISH SINGLE ECONOMIC SPACE
High-ranking delegations of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine have agreed on establishment of the single economic space. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received heads of the delegations: deputy Prime Misters Andrey Kobyakov of Belarus, Sauat Minbayev of Kazakhstan, Victor Khristenko of Russia and Nikolay Azarov of Ukraine.
President Nazarbayev noted during the meeting that the single economic space must ensure free transference of goods, services, investments and labor force through the territories of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, and its establishment fully agrees with ‘with our countries’ interests.’
Appropriate agreement was reached by the four counties’ presidents in February 2003. Signing of the documents prepared is expected during their meeting to be held in Yalta on September 18.
