China attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan, FM

"China attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan," said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as he met with Azerbaijani ambassador to the country Akram Zeynalli.
Ambassador Zeynalli noted that Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to developing relations with China and is determined to develop cooperation even further.
He also pointed out Azerbaijan's support to China's "One Belt One Road" initiative, expressing the country's readiness to closely cooperate with China in this regard. Zeynalli said that as a newly appointed ambassador he will spare no efforts to develop friendship and partnership between the two countries.
FM Yi recalled that he was invited to visit Azerbaijan, expressing his wish to pay this visit. He noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to China in December 2015 gave a powerful impetus to the development of relations between the two countries. The minister described President Ilham Aliyev as a great friend of the Chinese people.
FM Yi also commended Azerbaijan for supporting "One Belt One Road" initiative, expressing China's readiness to cooperate with Azerbaijan on this project.
