Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan General-Colonel Safar Abiyev met with Director of NATO Partnership Coordination Cell General-Major Rifgi Durusoy on September 9.

“NATO – Azerbaijan relations are at high level and we annually participate in some 300 events of this organization, military education system has been brought to conformity with NATO standards, and now we are working at the NATO individual program of partnership“, Safar Abiyev said.

Thanking for the warm reception, General-Major Rifgi Durusoy pointed out that Azerbaijan is the first country he is visiting in the new capacity, and said NATO intends to continue rendering any assistance to the country for further development of the interrelations.
