DELEGATION OF GENERAL PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND INTERIOR MINISTRY LEFT FOR UKRAINE TO TACKLE THE QUESTION OF RASUL GULIYEV’S EXTRADITION TO AZERBAIJAN
In accordance with the Minsk Convention of 22 January, 1993 “On legal assistance and legal relationship in civil, family and criminal cases” and the European Convention of 13 December, 1957 “On Extradition”, the application for extradition of the citizen of the Azerbaijan Republic Rasul Guliyev to law enforcement bodies of the country to institute criminal proceedings against him, has been submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine.
On 18 October, 2005 a group of officers of the General Prosecutor’s Office and Interior Ministry led by first Deputy Prosecutor general Rustam Usubov left for Ukraine to present necessary documents to the country’s relevant bodies and discuss the question of Rasul Guliev’s extradition to Azerbaijan.
