Mollazade said Azerbaijan is keen to develop its relationships with Germany in all areas.
He stressed the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines - projects Azerbaijan has been implementing jointly with Georgia, its ally in the South Caucasus - are very important to the region.
Asim Mollazade noted Azerbaijan is spending its oil revenues to improve science and economy.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, he noted Azerbaijan wants it to be peacefully solved.
Mollazade said it is Armenia`s non-constructive stance that impedes the dispute`s settlement.
Head of the Germany-South Caucasus Parliamentary Group
Steffen Reiche said Germany attaches great importance to the European Union’s new neighborhood policy.
He described Azerbaijan`s joining the EU neighborhood policy as a very positive fact which he said will benefit Azerbaijan in the coming 5-10 years.
Reiche stressed if Azerbaijan becomes a free trade zone in the South Caucasus it will contribute to the country`s efforts towards joining the European Union.
