Deputy Foreign ministers of Caspian littoral states hold press conference in Baku
Baku, October 13 (AZERTAC). Deputy Foreign ministers of five Caspian littoral states have given a press conference in Baku on the results of a meeting dedicated to the coordination of the draft agreement on cooperation in the field of security in the Caspian.
Deputy FM of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov positively estimated the results of the discussions. According to Khalaf Khalafov, the majority of issues related to the draft document have been agreed; however several issues must be discussed again.
The current meeting will contribute to the definition of the Caspian`s legal status, according to Khalaf Khalafov. The next ministerial meeting will take place in Tehran.
Russian Deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy foreign minister of Iran, special representative of the President of Iran on the affairs of the Caspian Mohammed Mehdi Akhundzade, Head of the Department of international law of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan Zulfia Amanzholova thanked the government of Azerbaijan for the high level organization of the meeting.
