Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council visits Central Election Commission

Deputy Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) Omer Kocaman has visited the Central Election Commission. Chairman of the commission Mazahir Panahov provided an insight into preparations for the elections. He said that around 5,315,000 electors are expected to cast ballots at 5,641 polling stations on April 11. He said 118 representatives of 51 international media outlets will be covering the elections. He noted that 890 international and around 59,000 local observers will be monitoring the voting.
Kocaman hailed preparations for the elections. He said two groups of the Turkic Council observers will monitor the voting in three cities on the election day. He noted that he is leading a 16-man delegation of observers.
