“FIVE” DISCUSES DRAFT RESOLUTION ON IRAQ
A conference of Foreign Minister of the five UN Security Council members has begun its work in Geneva. The “Five” is discussing draft resolution on Iraq. The conference is attended by the UN Secretary General.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Igor Ivanov said that adoption of new resolution on Iraq was of key importance. In his opinion, world community’s immediate solution is necessary to tackle the Iraqi problem.
UN Secretary General Koffi Annan stated that the purpose of the conference was to facilitate New-York consultations on the new draft resolution on Iraq.
