Hansi Flick to manage Germany after EURO 2020

Former Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick will replace Joachim Low as Germany's new manager following EURO 2020, the German Football Federation announced on Tuesday, Anadolu Agency reports.
Flick inked a three-year contract with the German national team until 2024, starting from July 2021.
"Hansi Flick will take over as the new head coach of the Germany national side. The 56-year-old signed a contract running until 2024 today at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, which also includes EURO 2024 to be held in Germany. 1st vice-presidents Peter Peters and Dr. Rainer Koch, as well as treasurer Dr. Stephan Osnabrugge signed on behalf of the DFB," said the federation in a statement.
Flick won the 2021 Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich before his contract was terminated upon his request at the end of the season.
After taking charge of Bayern Munich in December 2019 as an interim manager, Flick exceeded expectations and became one of the club's most successful coaches in history.
He led Bayern to lift two Bundesliga titles, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League trophies along with the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Flick said he is thrilled to work with German players, including youngsters.
"I'm really excited because of the class of players we have in Germany, especially the youngsters. We've got every reason to be optimistic about future tournaments, including the home EUROs in 2024," he said.
