INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP LAUNCHED
A four-day international workshop entitled “Science and Education” commenced at the “Crescent Beach Hotel”, April 5. The workshop arranged by the Azerbaijan National Scientific Fund, US Fund of Civil Researches and Development and US Physical Society gathered heads, specialists of the academies of science, higher education institutions of Southern Caucasus, Central Asia countries etc. Opening the workshop vice-president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Arif Mehtiyev told of the importance of the topic. Minister of Education Misir Mardanov, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Reno Harnish, senior vice-president of the US Fund of Civil Researches and Development Cady Campbell wished the workshop every success.
ANAS corresponding member, Milli Majlis deputy, Prof. Asaf Hajiyev noted that invaluable services of nationwide leader of Azerbaijan people, world scale political figure Heydar Aliyev in development of science and education, scientific achievements.
The speakers spoke of the development of ties among institutions of science academies and higher education institutions, application of scientific achievements in the education system.
