Japanese professor: A new book about Azerbaijan published in Japan will help promote the country

“A new book about the Azerbaijani realities published in Japan will help promote Azerbaijan,” professor at Japanese Keio University, editor of the book "67 articles for discovering Azerbaijan" published by Tokyo's Akashi publishing house, Yoko Hirose has told AZERTAC’s special correspondent.
Yoko Hirose said she has been specializing in Azerbaijan for more than 20 years, and spent one year in Baku as a fellow of United Nations University from 2000 to 2001. She mentioned that she finalized her PhD dissertation about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and until now has published many books and articles about Azerbaijan.
Professor Hirose is the author of the book “Caucasus - the cross road of International Relations” published in 2008, which earned her “Special Award of Asia-Pacific Award.” In 2016, she published “Azerbaijan” book promoting Azerbaijani realities.
Speaking about her book entitled “67 articles for discovering Azerbaijan”, Yoko Hirose said that the book features 67 chapters and many columns which were written by different researchers and professors who visited Azerbaijan.
Yoko Hirose noted that two chapters of the book are dedicated to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding that her PhD dissertation in this issue has helped her a lot to provide a thorough analysis of the situation concerning the conflict.
Highlighting her future plans concerning Azerbaijan, the Japanese professor said that she intends to visit the country in October as she is invited to attend the Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
