Manchester City wins goal duel against Liverpool in English League Cup

Manchester City won a goal duel against Liverpool on Thursday, beating them 3-2 in an English League Cup (Carabao Cup) Round of 16 match, Anadolu Agency reports.
Norwegian star Erling Haaland drew first blood for The Citizens in the 10th minute at Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho responded in kind 10 minutes later, and the first half ended 1-1.
Man City started the second half fast as Riyad Mahrez brought the lead to The Citizens once again in the 47th minute.
But just one minute later, Liverpool's Egyptian star Mohamed Salah leveled the score once more.
Nathan Ake made it 3-2 for Manchester City in the 58th minute and they came out on top with this score when the final whistle was blown.
Manchester City advanced to the English League Cup quarterfinals by eliminating reigning champions Liverpool.
