MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF BRITISH PARLIAMENT
On September 17, Milli Majlis deputy, leader of Azerbaijani delegation in the Southern Caucasus Parliamentary Initiative Group Siyavush Novruzov met with MP of Great Britain Angus Robertson and members of the Links NGO. According to reports of Milli Majlis’s press service, Siyavush Novruzov highly appreciated activity of “Links” in the Southern Caucasus, which was formed at the British Parliament’s initiative, and its role in establishing ties between parliaments of both countries.
S. Novruzov recounted on obstacles, put by Armenian-Azerbaijani conflicts over Nagorno-Karabakh in the way of Southern Caucasus countries’ integration into Europe.
Mr. Angus Robertson dwelt upon development of ties, established between the countries and told of the Links’ activity. He stressed that resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem is of great significance to the region.
The sides also exchanged views on upcoming presidential elections and guests expressed confidence that elections would be held in fair, transparent and democratic environment.
