Memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev commemorated in Helsinki

A memorial ceremony dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the passing of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Azerbaijan House in Helsinki.
Finland coordinator Mona Savojifar, addressing members of the Helsinki diaspora, highlighted the National Leader’s special attention to youth. She emphasized that Heydar Aliyev regarded young people as the main pillar of Azerbaijan’s future development. Savojifar noted that the strategic course defined by Heydar Aliyev concerning youth continues to shape activities in this field today.
The Director of the Azerbaijan House, Ulviya Jabbarova, spoke about the National Leader’s exceptional role in the establishment and strengthening of Azerbaijani statehood. She stressed that the political, legal, and ideological foundations of modern independent Azerbaijan were formed as a result of Heydar Aliyev’s efforts, and that this legacy remains vital in preserving the traditions of statehood today.
As part of the event, general information regarding Heydar Aliyev’s life and activities, as well as his historic contributions to the Azerbaijani people and state, was presented. A film on the subject was also screened.
