Passenger traffic through Silk Road transportation corridor increases
Baku, January 22, AZERTAC.
In January-November, 2014, 278 million people or more than 7.7% and 53.1 mln tons of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan’s part of Silk Road transportation corridor.
According to the State Statistical Committee, 49.7% of the total cargo was transported via motor transport, 34.4% - via railway traffic and 15.9% - via sea traffic.
Profit from cargo traffic accounted for AZN 465,9 million, passenger transportation - AZN 97.9 mln. These indicators respectively increased by 10.7% and 13%.
