ROUND TABLE DEDICATED TO 85TH ANNIVERSARY OF BAKU’S LIBERATION FROM ARMENIAN OCCUPATION
Chairman of the Social Welfare Party, Milli Majlis deputy Khanhuseyn Kazimli said the major purpose of the meeting was recall atrocity committed by Bolsheviks and their helpers - Armenian dashnaks - against Azerbaijanis to let the people know in detail about this tragic history.
The meeting participants spoke of the genocide committed by Armenian dashnaks against Azerbaijanis in 1905, 1915 and 1918, as well as the KGB-caused nation’s disasters. It was pointed out that on September 15, 1918, fraternal Turkey, which itself was experiencing hard times, could not remain indifferent to the ongoing tragedy, and came to help Azerbaijan. Then, along with Azerbaijanis, thousands of Turkish soldiers and officers became shahids in the fight against Armenians’ atrocity. And even today, Armenians pursue their genocide policy against Azerbaijanis and Turkish world as a whole; due to the joint activity of Azerbaijan and Turkey however, this policy is successfully repulsed.
