ROUND TABLE “DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS AND POLITICAL RESPONSIBILITY”
Opening the Round Table by introductory speech, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Milli Majlis (Parliament) deputy Mubariz Gurbanli told about democratic reforms having been carried out in the country for recent ten years. Speakers told about foundation of a legal, democratic and secular state in Azerbaijan and underlined that political pluralism, freedom of speech, press and thought are provided in this country.
Besides, the participants of the Round Table pointed out that forces seeking to creation of anarchy, using democratic situation in the republic, create obstacles for normal development of the society. Speakers condemned non-realizing of political responsibility by these forces of holding the elections in democratic, free, fair and transparent conditions and their irresponsible attitude towards the issue.
