Servicemen’s physical training in the spotlight, Defense Ministry

Special attention is being paid to the physical training of Azerbaijan Army servicemen to enhance their combat readiness and maintain their health, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

“In all types of troops, army corps, formations, and military units, as well as in special educational institutions, servicemen regularly participate in physical training sessions and actively engage in mass sporting events.

During these sessions, servicemen receive training in swimming, taekwondo, wrestling, judo, running, boxing, football, volleyball, and other sports, as well as self-defense and hand-to-hand combat.

Servicemen’s physical training remains a top priority,” the ministry stated.
