Speaker of Milli Majlis: Azerbaijan is a trusted partner of intercultural dialogue

“Azerbaijan continues to contribute to intercultural dialogue by hosting such authoritative events as the Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Global Baku Forum, and the Global Summit of Religious Leaders,” said Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova as she addressed the 16th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
According to her, the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, held within the framework of the “Baku Process” initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, is recognized by the United Nations as a key global platform for intercultural and interreligious dialogue. She noted that the Interparliamentary Conference organized by the Milli Majlis as part of the 6th Forum in May 2024 added a “parliamentary dimension” to this dialogue.
Sahiba Gafarova emphasized that Azerbaijan is a trusted partner in promoting intercultural dialogue.
